WILMINGTON - Defending state 4A champion Hoggard put on a dazzling show in beating Whiteville 27-0 in the opening game of the BB&T Football Jamboree on Friday at Legion Stadium.

Ian Durham kicked field goals of 43 and 49 yards, and quarterback Brad Busby did his Tim Tebow impersonation, running and throwing like the University of Florida Heisman Trophy winner.

Busby completed six of seven passes for 106 yards and rushed four times for 49 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown on a draw play.
